Lee Davis to release new “Keyboard Primer” book
Veteran music industry producer announces new instructional book/DVD
If you want to learn how to play an instrument there is no better way than from longtime music industry veteran, Lee Davis. The Georgia-based pianist, composer, songwriter and producer will be releasing the newest edition of his book “Keyboard Primer,” published by Watch and Learn. The book will also be accompanied by a DVD featuring Davis titled “Watch and Learn Introduction to Keyboards.”
“I’m extremely excited about the release of the newest edition of “Keyboard Primer,” Davis says. “Despite devoting much of my time to working with professional musicians, I really enjoy teaching people how to play keyboards. It’s something I’m very passionate about.”
The “Keyboard Primer” book and “Introduction to Keyboard” are designed for the beginning keyboard or piano student. They cover all the basics of playing - including proper technique, hand and body positions, scales, chords, and note reading. On the DVD, the student plays along with a full band on 12 familiar songs which are played at two speeds (slow for practicing and performance tempo). Unique split screens show both hands in detail and onscreen notation for all of the music, with a bouncing ball type pointer showing each note as it is being played. It's all you need to get started on the keyboard or piano.
